Choose Netball for Term 1 2026 Sporting Schools Programs!

The ASC's Sporting Schools Grants for Term 1 2026 are opening on Monday 27th October to access funding to support sport delivery in your school.

To help you with planning your grant application, and planning your 2026 program, take a look at the Netball updates and offering below you can access using your Sporting Schools funding! In addition to these programs, you can use funds to purchase add-ons including:

  • Additional coach-led sessions to boost your teacher led program,
  • Access to Netball Learning courses to develop your netball, coaching and umpiring knowledge, and
  • Netball Schools equipment packs via our schools equipment supplier, HART Sport.

PRIMARY

NETBALL SCHOOLS PRIMARY PROGRAM

(NEW FOR 2026!)

BOTH This program has spent much of the last 12 months being redeveloped, providing 4-10 sequential and flexible sessions for Foundation to Year 2, and Years 3 to 6. The curriculum aligned program uses on modified games and activities to develop technical, tactical, and personal and social skills, focusing on approaches for maximal engagement and inclusion. This program is perfect for inclusion in HPE and Sport programs, additional sessions to complement HPE and Sport programs, providing additional activity sessions for students of mixed abilities, and for teachers who would like to incorporate more modified approaches to increase fun and success.

NETBALL SCHOOLS TRAIN TO PLAY PROGRAM

(NEW FOR 2026!)

COACH LED

This program provides students his program is designed to provide a supportive coach led experience to introduce new students to traditional Netball, or develop more experienced students in this format of the game. Coaches will provide a mix of games and drills to develop technical and tactical skills to implement in games, and support with the understanding of key rules and strategy within our sport. Coaches will work with the teacher to design a program to meet the level of experience and aim of the program, to help students participate successfully in Netball games within PE, Intra/Interschool Sport or aid transition into community Netball.

NETBALL SCHOOLS SPECIAL SCHOOLS PROGRAM

(NEW FOR 2026!)

BOTH Netball Australia and Member Organisations have collaborated with Special Olympics Australia and coaching experts to experience within the Special School setting. This sequential and flexible curriculum aligned program includes modified games and engaging ways to practice fundamental movement skills, netball skills, and personal and social skills, encouraging more touches of the ball and more fun. Teachers and coaches are encouraged to modify games and sessions as needed using the support in the resource to enable students to build confidence and skills at a pace which suits them. The program is divided into Foundation and Year 2, and Years 3 to 6 programs, with flexibility to adjust the program to best suit the needs of the students engaged.
SECONDARY FAST5 (TERM 1-2) TEACHER LED

This program supports Year 7 and 8 students to learn about the Fast5 format of the game, leading to student and teacher officiated games.

Please note: this program is being revised, with a new Secondary program due to launch for Term 3, 2026.
